Morocco Drone Laws Update

Since March 2015, the government in Morocco has imposed a ban on the importation of drones due to security concerns. Companies are allowed to utilize drones in the country only after obtaining a special permit. However, private use of drones is strictly forbidden.

Individuals found in possession of a drone in Morocco should be prepared for confiscation, coupled with a fine of 1,165 Dirhams (approximately 110 euros). There is a possibility of reclaiming the drone upon departure if it is declared upon entry into the country.

This information may prove valuable for travelers intending to journey from Morocco to another destination. If such travel plans are not in place, it is advisable to refrain from bringing a drone to avoid potential complications.
